My Faith, Encouragement and Helpful Resources for Dark Times

My Favorite Bible Verse

Philippians 4:8 (KJV)

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue,

and if there be any praise, think on these things.

The Start of a Journey

Who began me on my journey? Teenagers!

At age four, I lived out in the country, on a street where tract houses were abundant (think subdivison). A couple of teenage girls would stop by my house and pick me up as they walked to a church down at the end of the street. It was there that God became real to me.  Not in the building, but in my heart and everywhere around me.
All because of the kindness of a few teens.

No matter your age, never doubt that God can use you.

What do I Believe

The Bible: I love books, but none other teaches and touches my heart like God's word.

God: Existing in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost). The Father and Creator of this world cares. Experiencing a relationship with the Father confirms his existance and fills you with peace and love. Despite my limited knowledge, understanding, weaknesses, and mistakes he never has rejected me.

Jesus: He sacrificed his life to make a way for every single person to avoid Hell and have eternal life.

What greater love is this?

Holy Spirit: A source of comfort and power that indwells in you, imparts gifts, and enables you to live a holy life.

A B C Salvation

John 3:16 (KJV)

For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son,

that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Admit:    You are a sinner. Be Honest with yourself and God (He already knows).

Believe:  Jesus died for you and your sins.

                    He rose from the grave.

Only through Him can you receive the gift of eternal life (securing your eternal destiny).

Choose: Today. Tomorrow. Give your life to him every day.

You may be surprised how much you want to please God and follow his ways.

You are new. You are loved. You are beautiful.

This begins your journey. You will never be the same.
